Wood Chip
English Wood Fuels Ltd fulfils a variety of roles within the supply chain of wood chip.

Independently sourcing local timber and waste wood, chipping at sites owned by members of the producer group and maintaining a buffer stock to supply customers where other arrangements are impractical.

Coordinate the services of individual members of the producer group in fulfilling wood chip sales and supply contracts.

Acts as the principal contractor and indemnity provider in fuel supply contracts with medium to large end users who require full health and safety and quality assurance compliance.

Guarantee the quality and reliability of wood chip supplies by regularly monitoring the moisture content and size classification of the fuel throughout the life of the contract. |

Wood Pellet
Often the most convenient form of wood fuel, EWF acts as the distributor for a number of UK pellet manufacturers.The woody biomass from which they are produced typically consists of a mixture of the following:-
All new suppliers undergo a rigorous assessment. We insist that the pellet conforms with the draft Britsh Standard and is regularly tested by an independent laboratory and before delivering to customers we run our own pellet burning boilers on any newly sourced fuel before taking the decision to bulk buy.
Delivery can be made in bulk using our own 8 wheeler blower lorries or alternatively in 20kg bags.

Firewood
We source a mixture of hardwood and softwood logs from local registered tree surgeons and members of the producer group and split them after seasoning of 2-3 years.
Large orders can be delivered or alternatively customers can pick up a load from us either bagged or in bulk.
EWF will also put customers in touch with local producers and it is hoped that eventually individual members of the producer will advertise on this website. |
